    2. 3-Axis Hybrid Laser Marker

      3-Axis Hybrid Laser Marker

The MD-X model series covers the entire marking process, including upstream and downstream testing Marking lasers from the MD-X series are versatile, universally applicable systems for marking and processing various materials. These powerful lasers with hybrid technology have special advantages: Autofocus in all marking positions A sensor integrated into the laser head measures the distance to the marking point across the entire marking area. The focus is corrected before each marking and thus eliminates marking errors and height deviations. Integrated image processing for position alignment Two cameras integrated in the marking head enable alignment without external devices. The full-frame camera captures the entire marking area for the alignment of large parts, while the coaxial camera is used for fine adjustments. These integrated cameras prevent marking errors due to positional deviations caused by product handling or play during transportation. Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting without external devices Marking errors can be caused by a variety of factors, including positional deviations of the marking object, external influences such as contamination/damage to the lens or power loss. Sudden marking errors are often difficult to reproduce. It is often difficult to determine the cause. The MD-X series offers numerous monitoring functions - without the use of external devices. The status of the marking process can be precisely identified via the web monitoring function, even remotely. Visit us at our booth or find more information in the brochure.

    4. 3D printing for compact complete drives

3D printing for compact complete drives

3D-printed parts are being successfully used in an increasing number of applications. GERDT SEEFRID GmbH is now using this highly flexible manufacturing method in series production to adapt electronic components to its DC/BLDC motors. This enables cost-effective solutions, particularly for customized solutions in small to medium quantities. For example, optical encoders can be mounted precisely and quickly on the motors or, as in a current project, a motor controller can be mounted and pre-wired directly onto the back of a motor's gearbox. The housing and adapters are developed specifically for each project, are easy to install, and can also be adapted to other in-house motors with minor modifications. The customer thus receives a fully prepared drive "out of the box" and, after mechanically assembling the motor, only needs to attach the wiring. The drive system is then immediately ready for use.

    5. A Standard System for Conveying and Guiding

A Standard System for Conveying and Guiding

Individual and economical creation of perfect conveyor lines, thanks to new Ganter standard parts. Conveying and guiding via gravity (gravity transport/feeding) is an established principle for transporting parts or intermediate products from one automated process station to the next. Even with today’s agile handling robots, this clever type of conveyance remains relevant. It is therefore hardly surprising that Ganter, the market leader in standard parts, has had the key elements of roller and ball rails in its portfolio for years. The company is now rounding out this selection with additional practically designed elements for typical industrial applications. For instance, there are the indispensable side guides, which Ganter offers as simple plastic elements or as complex, double-row cylinder and ball roller elements. These allow even sensitive parts to be moved without damage. When two guide channels run in parallel, middle guides featuring rollers on both sides can be used. Segmented guides allow the creation of curves, where the individual segments are fixed in place tangentially with appropriate retaining profiles. Compatible and diverse retaining clips and brackets, support feet, end pieces, connecting strips, end caps, braking rails and lead-in guides ensure maximum freedom and professional solutions to even the most unique situations. Adjustments and modifications can be carried out quickly and easily as well, sometimes even without tools. More information on Ganter standard parts can be found on the internet at ganternorm.com

    7. AksIM-4™ with HIPERFACE DSL protocol: Market-leading absolute encoder, soon even easier to integrate in servo motor applications

AksIM-4™ with HIPERFACE DSL protocol: Market-leading absolute encoder, soon even easier to integrate in servo motor applications

We will soon introduce the AksIM-4™ absolute encoder with HIPERFACE DSL® (HDSL) protocol. This upcoming product will combine the proven capabilities of the AksIM-4™ series with seamless one-cable connectivity for servo motor applications – setting a new benchmark for compact, high-resolution motor feedback systems. AksIM-4™ will be the first open PCB hollow shaft encoder supporting HDSL communication protocol. Already established as the absolute no. 1 position encoder in robotics, the AksIM-4™ will be further optimized for automation and embedded motion control platforms through the integration of the HDSL protocol – a fast, digital communication protocol based on RS-485. The AksIM-4™ HDSL will be developed for space-constrained applications in industrial automation, and servo systems. Its flat PCB readhead combined with axially magnetised rings will enable precise, non-contact absolute position feedback, while minimizing system integration complexity. In addition, the encoder will support advanced features such as real-time temperature and speed monitoring, diagnostics and self-calibration through a robust resource communication structure. “The AksIM-4™ will be a perfect addition to our portfolio of HIPERFACE DSL supporting products and supporting a multi-sourcing strategy of OEMs. Its open PCB and hollow-shaft design will offer the kind of flexible, high-performance encoder our customers are looking for in integrated and space-sensitive motor solutions.” Clemens Bitsch, Strategic Product Manager at SICK AG. The integration of the HDSL protocol will enable power and communication to be transmitted over a single shielded twisted pair – reducing cable volume, simplifying installation, and allowing real-time data exchange for predictive maintenance and enhanced machine diagnostics. The protocol will support plug-and-play functionality and data handling, helping machine builders streamline commissioning and improve system reliability.

    8. Angelplatz achieves 405% higher efficiency with an automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) – payback in 2.2 years.

Angelplatz achieves 405% higher efficiency with an automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) – payback in 2.2 years.

Angelplatz achieves a 405% increase in efficiency with the STOROJET Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS), reaching full amortization after just 2.2 years. When moving into its new warehouse in 2022, the existing system was expanded and adapted to operational needs. Across 585 square meters of floor space, additional lifts now boost capacity, speed and process reliability. Custom load carriers with modular lengths between 50 and 90 centimeters enable flexible storage for diverse product sizes. Thanks to high system performance, Angelplatz operates its entire warehouse in a half-day shift with reduced labor costs, shorter routes and significantly fewer errors. The STOROJET AS/RS connects to any WMS and proves how efficient automation can transform warehouse logistics for medium-sized enterprises.
