New CS AM series safety modules
Pizzato CS AM series safety modules benefit from important technological advancement. Major new features include sensorless speed monitoring, more sophisticated motor control through parameterisation of the modules via software, and the ability to monitor motor operating data in real time. > Three different versions available The new series now includes three different types of safety modules, available both in permanently programmed or configurable version: CS AM1• : Motor standstill monitoring CS AM2• : Monitoring of motor speed and direction of rotation CS AM3• : Combines the functionalities of both CS AM1• and CS AM2• The configurable version is equipped with a USB Type-C port, allowing the device to be configured using the CS AM Configurator, developed in-house by Pizzato Elettrica. The software can be downloaded by the user free of charge. It is also possible to choose between safety outputs with OSSD or relay technology. Modules with OSSD outputs are 22.5 mm wide, while those with relay outputs are 45 mm wide. > Inductive sensor for the detection of specific faults With the CS AM2• and CS AM3• versions, an inductive sensor can be connected to the module to detect faults not normally detected by products currently on the market. > Adjustment of monitoring parameters The CS AM Configurator software is divided into several sections: Project, Setting and Monitor. In the Project section, all relevant project information is entered and the required function can be selected and configured for each input and output of the module. In the Setting section, parameters for the detection of motor standstill can be set, thresholds for minimum and maximum speed thresholds defined, and the detection of the motor's direction of rotation enabled. In the Monitor section, the status of the module's outputs, the residual voltage detected on the phases, the speed and the direction of rotation of the motor can be monitored and saved in real time.

Paper net - The sustainable cushioning alternative to PE foam – made by Knüppel
The paper net developed by Knüppel Verpackungsentwicklung has restoring forces that enable multiple impact loads. It has almost the same properties as PE foam. Various standardised drop tests, such as DIN standard 22 248, can be passed with this material without any problems. The paper net is also variable in terms of quality and strength and can be used for different component geometries and weights. Depending on the application, it can be reused multiple times. It enables the use of single-material packaging solutions even for heavy components and can be easily disposed of and recycled in waste paper after use. Possible areas of application include the automotive and supplier industry, mechanical engineering and companies that ship sensitive electronic components. In addition, the paper net can be used as flat padding in large load carriers and on pallets as a base or intermediate layer.

Peakboard BYOD - our low-code platform on your edge device
Peakboard BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is a real game changer for anyone who works with Peakboard - or would like to do so in the future. For the first time, it is possible to utilise the full power of the Peakboard solution on your own hardware - flexibly, scalably and without any restrictions. Peakboard BYOD thus breaks with the previous paradigm that every visualisation has to run on a dedicated Peakboard box. Instead, companies can use their existing infrastructure - whether industrial PCs, virtual machines or panel PCs directly on the machine - and run the same dashboards there as on a box. This means maximum freedom: anyone already using their own hardware setup or relying on virtualisation saves additional investment in hardware. At the same time, everything that characterises Peakboard is retained: Real-time visualisation, interactivity, low-code dashboard design, flexible data connection and robust, decentralised operation. BYOD is not just an alternative to the Peakboard Box - it is the perfect complement for larger rollouts, for projects with special hardware requirements or for companies that prefer centralised management and automated deployment. Any customer who wants to drive forward their digitalisation quickly, flexibly and efficiently should consider Peakboard BYOD. It lowers the barrier to entry and increases scalability - with full control and proven Peakboard quality. It is the next logical step in the evolution of Peakboard - and the fastest way to take shopfloor digitalisation to the next level.

Real-time control for industry
Bachmann electronic has taken a decisive step forward in the development of its new M100 system: The M100 platform is now becoming a standalone, complete automation system thanks to a comprehensive family of control modules. The CPU spectrum initially comprises eight models. The CPU range initially comprises eight models from the CPS100 family. They are equipped with powerful x86 processors from Intel. The performance range extends from a dual-core CPU with 1200 MHz to a quad-core module with 1.9 GHz. Technologically, the M100 system marks a paradigm shift: for the first time, Bachmann is using Linux with PREEMPT_RT configuration as the real-time operating system for a control platform. At the same time, security was considered from the start: All CPUs come standard with a TPM 2.0 chip, support Secure Boot down to the kernel, and meet the requirements of the IEC 62443 and ISO 27001 standards. Even fieldbus couplers are equipped with Secure Boot to prevent tampering in the supply chain. The usability of the engineering tools has also been redesigned. In the web-based station configurator of the SolutionCenter, channels can be configured in the same way regardless of the fieldbus used. Module channels can be assigned automatically to minimize configuration effort. Tool-free potential bridges, push-in terminals, and QR codes for quick module identification also speed up installation and commissioning. With all these innovations, robustness remains a key promise: The modules can withstand shock accelerations of up to 30 g, continuous vibrations of 6 g, operating temperatures from –30°C to +70°C, and condensation. EMC-safe metal housings, screws with captive fasteners, and a stable bus rail with screw mounting ensure maximum availability – not least in harsh environments.
