Pyrometers PYROSPOT
Pyrometers are termed radiation thermometers or infrared thermometers, too. PYROSPOT stands for a multiplicity of series of pyrometers for the non-contact, point-shaped temperature measurement in the range from –40 °C to 3000 °C. Our pyrometer series differ with respect to their temperature ranges, interfaces, housings and the therefore related purpose. Manifold accessories allows individual adjustment to the application and the integration in system solutions.

Infrared cameras PYROVIEW
Thermal imaging cameras are used for non-contact temperature measurement and for the detection of twodimensional temperature distributions with high thermal resolution on stationary and moving measurement objects. We have introduced the longtime experience in the field of thermography into our thermal imaging camera series PYROVIEW. The devices are durable, robust and suitable for industrial continuous operation. Our infrared cameras are used in process control and monitoring, quality control, early fire detection as well as for measurements in research and development.
Infrared detectors and arrays PYROSENS
Infrared detectors are used in industry for the detection of physical and chemical properties like temperature, humidity, intensity and gas concentration. For more than 25 years DIAS Infrared does research, development and manufacturing of high-quality infrared detectors.

Early Fire Detection System PYROVIEW FDS
PYROVIEW FDS – That is the proven full automatic DIAS infrared system for the early fire detection. It is used for the detection of hot spots or smoldering fires when paper, waste and combustible materials in closed bunkers and in open areas is stored. Reliable installations for the detection and control of unwanted fires are required here in particular. By spontaneous combustion of the stored materials or by contamination of hot materials fire can develop that bears a high risk for man and environment. Insurance providers recommend therefor the use of infrared cameras for monitoring.

New shortwave thermal imaging camera PYROVIEW 512S for industrial applications
The thermal imaging camera series PYROVIEW, which has proven itself over many years, has now been expanded with a new model in the short-wave infrared spectral range (SWIR). The PYROVIEW 512S camera has a high-dynamic InGaAs array of the latest generation, which allows images with 512 x 408 pixels at a frame rate of up to 60 Hz. The device enables non-contact temperature measurements in the spectral range from 1.4 µm to 1.6 µm starting at 300 °C. Two temperature measuring ranges are available as standard (measuring range 1: 300 °C to 750 °C, measuring range 2: 700 °C to 1200 °C). To adapt to different measuring object sizes and distances, there are four lens variants with aperture angles of 54° x 44°, 37° x 29°, 24° x 19° or 12° x 10°. The lenses have a motor focus without external moving parts. Two different housing variants are available. The PYROVIEW 512S compact+ device has an aluminum housing (IP54) for universal applications. For particularly harsh industrial environments, the PYROVIEW 512S protection variant is available in an IP65 stainless steel housing with protection window, air purge and optional water cooling. The cameras have an Ethernet interface that allows lossless and low-delay data transmission in real time up to the maximum frame rate. Software packages PYROSOFT (online/offline) specially developed for the cameras for data aquisition and analyzing as well as for connection to process control systems are available. Together with the new PYROVIEW 512S thermal imaging camera, suitable PYROVIEW camera models with different temperature and spectral ranges, pixel numbers as well as optics and housing variants are now available for many applications, especially in industrial process measurement technology:

New pyrometer with fiber optics for temperature measurement from 100°C
The long-standing, proven PYROSPOT pyrometer series 44 from DIAS Infrared has now been expanded with another fiber optic device, the DGEF 44N, for non-contact temperature measurement from 100°C to 1200°C. With its spectral range of 2.0 µm to 2.6 µm, the pyrometer is particularly suitable for measurements on metals and ceramics. A compact optical heads connected via a fiber optic cable enables ambient temperatures up to 250°C without additional cooling. Several types of optical heads with fixed and vario optics are available for different measuring distances and measurement field diameters from 1.3 mm. Combined with the pyrometer electronics in a stainless steel round housing, this results in a robust device that can be used even in harsh industrial environments. Like all pyrometers in the PYROSPOT series 44, the device features a temperature linear output 0/4…20 mA, an RS-485 interface (galvanically isolated, Modbus RTU), and a maximum/minimum value storage. An integrated LED or laser aiming light serves as a sighting device. With a minimum response time t95 of 5 ms, the pyrometer is also suitable for fast temperature measurements.

Pyroelectric high-detectivity detectors for process and environmental measurement technology
The pyroelectric infrared detectors of the PYROSENS series from DIAS Infrared have been successfully used for many years in gas analysis, spectroscopy, non-contact temperature measurement, and radiation measurement devices. The detector elements are made of the pyroelectric material lithium tantalate, which enables very high signal-to-noise ratios or specific detectivities D* as well as excellent temperature and long-term stability of the detector properties. With large values of the specific detectivity D*, high detection sensitivities of the infrared measuring devices can be achieved, for example, very low gas concentrations can be measured. Within the PYROSENS product family, many types of single- and multi-channel detectors with 1 to 4 detector elements with different element areas, optional thermal compensation, different absorber and black coatings as well as numerous filter windows for the desired spectral behavior of the detector are available. By using very thin, ion beam etched detector elements, D* values of up to 109 cmHz1/2W-1 at 10 Hz modulation frequency are achieved. Newly developed technologies can further increase these already very high D* values. DIAS Infrared is now introducing a first new single-channel detector type LTMUI Q2, which has a 2 x 2 mm² detector element with an optimized metal absorber and achieves a specific detectivity D* of 2 x 109 cmHz1/2W-1 (5 Hz to 10 Hz). Further types of these new high-detectivity detectors will be introduced gradually.
